Signature Events & Initiatives

Indigenous Peoples Day

Scholars on Clemson’s campus have committed to identifying and uncovering the histories of colonization and slavery directly connected to this campus. In an effort to honor tribal communities that inhabited and cared for this land, we recognize Indigenous People’s Day to amplify these historical narratives, while building awareness about the importance of preserving Native American languages, cultures, traditions, and identity.

Native American Heritage Month

Native American Heritage Month is a nationally recognized celebration that recognizes the original communities situated on our lands. Nationally, Native American Heritage Month is celebrated during the month of November. Historically, events have included speakers, storytelling events, film and episode viewings, pop-up workshops, and visual displays.
